I’m Jacqueline Koo, founder of LA MAXIME.

Gowing up in Seoul, South Korea, I suffered from persistent sinus issues that conventional treatments could not resolve. It was traditional Korean Herbal medicine that finally brought lasting relief - and with it, a deep respect for the restorative power of nature.

Years later, after relocating to Melbourne, Australia, I built a career as a senior IT professional, leading teams at Telstra and fine-tuning complex system to operate with precision and efficiency - saving millions in annual operating costs.

That experience shaped the way I think:

Every system can be optimized - if you understand the inputs, interactions and balance.

In my early 50's, as hormonal changes began to affect my skin - enlarged pores, loss of firmness, fine lines and unexpected breakouts - I was disappointed by what the skincare market offered. many products relied on harsh synthetics, fillers, or short-term cosmetic effects rather than true skin health.

I asked myself, a simple but defining question:

If I could optimize enterprise-level systems, why couldn't skincare formulations be optimized to deliver real, visible results - without compromising safety?

That question became the foundation of LA MAXIME.

Beginning in 2007, I committed to myself to research and formulation - not trends.

Drawing on my early experience with natural remedies and Australia's extraordinary biodiversity, I focused on potent native botanicals such as Kakadu Plum, Desert Lime, Lilli Pilli, and Tea Tree - ingredients long respected for their antioxidant, calming, and skin-revitalizing properties.

But Nature alone wasn't enough.
