The Story Behind LA MAXIME
My journey into skincare began long before LA MAXIME was created.
Growing up in Seoul, I experienced persistent sinus issues that conventional treatments did not resolve. Relief eventually came through traditional Korean herbal remedies. That experience shaped my understanding of nature’s restorative intelligence and the importance of working with the body rather than against it.
A Formulation-Led Journey
Years later, while working as a senior IT professional in Melbourne, I led complex systems and optimisation projects. That environment taught me discipline, calibration and structural thinking. I began to see skincare differently — not as isolated products, but as a system that could be engineered for performance and longevity.
Why LA MAXIME Exists today
In 2007, I began researching and developing formulations of my own. I was particularly drawn to Australia’s native botanicals — Kakadu plum, desert lime and lilli pilli — known for their potency and resilience. Over time, through refinement, testing and recalibration, those early experiments evolved into structured formulations designed to support mature skin.
What began as curiosity became commitment.
